Surprise

I came across these on my point and shoot. I don’t download those photos as often (it’s usually floating around my purse or the house). From a few weeks ago with my dad (he doesn’t live up here full time any more so we rarely see him). Tuesday loves her gramps!

The last one Tuesday took 🙂
A note about this camera. Has anyone ever used this thing in FULL manual mode? I really loath not shooting in manual, but every time I’ve tried with this camera it’s so clunky and time consuming I can hardly get a shot in. There is no way I can go to the menu and scroll around for a bunch of stuff while following around a three year old and trying to take her picture. I think this is a pretty nice little point and shoot, but I don’t feel like I’m using it as well as I could be. Any tips are appreciated!

  1. Aw, you’re dad looks great! I miss seeing his smiling face 🙂 And I love the 3rd picture. Looks like a mini-you looking up at your cooky dad (which I adore!!!) On another note: mmmmm, La Hacienda Real!

  2. The reason people get these cameras is so you don’t have to shoot in manual mode because the auto settings are pretty fantastic. Justin (the pro photographer) takes amazing photos with his S95 and I think he usually does a combo manual/auto, but lets a few things go given the mechanics.
    Now I want Mexican food.

  3. I only use mine in A or P modes. In fact, I don’t use my d5100 in full manual either. Doesn’t seem like it’s worth it until you get up to higher end cameras with more dials. Even then, I’m probably too stupid to go “M”.
