    Michael-Lyn,
I took pieces of heavyweight watercolor paper and brushed on Modge-Podge. Then I poured salt over the top (I had some random salt: ice cream salt, kosher salt, Japanese salt. I just ran them all through the food processor) and shook off whatever didn’t stick. After they dried I shook them off some more. Tuesday used liquid water colors (these: http://www.discountschoolsupply.com/Product/ProductDetail.aspx?product=16821&rv=True) to paint them. Salt is also fun to throw on after a painting, try it and see what happens!

I hope she makes some for Nana so she can hang them in her house.
