I have pinned so many great activities on my Montessori and Pre-school board. I decided to pick out a few ideas to take with me up to Alaska. One of the ideas I had for the girls while we were up in Alaska was to utilize the snow. I stumbled upon this idea via Pinterest (but I must not have pinned it so no original link, sorry!) and it was so easy and fun! I simply went outside (so quickly as it was NEGATIVE 18 this night) and scooped up a bowl of snow. I got out a cookie sheet and spoons and cups for each girl and let them have at it. As I mentioned in my last post we bought Tuesday a second hand digital camera for Christmas. I have done a lot of research on digital cameras for children and the basic consensus is, yes, they are some what indestructible, but the picture quality is terrible. Now, I’m a bit of a picture quality snob, but it’s not just bad by my standards. We’re talking 2 mega pixels max, and that’s for a $60 camera that includes games (Vtech Kidizoom).
