Celebrating crafts, kids and the everyday through photographs.
If you guessed girl yesterday, you were right!

Sweet little Finley Marie. Everyone thought it was a boy (that’s what everyone told me too!). Surprise! I went over to their house when Finley was only five days old. A nice reminder of why I do newborn shoots for babies 10 days or under… even at her young age she wouldn’t stay asleep! It was a lot of work (and blankets and wipes!), but we made it work.

Swoon. And more up on my facebook page.
ok. My ovaries hurt a little, I’ll admit…
Oh, and I know this probably sounds crazy, but if you want a photo shoot with your family this summer I’m booking up (personally and professionally – weekends especially!) so contact me and we’ll get you on the calendar! -

When I found out my lovely hair dresser Heather was pregnant she excitedly said, “oh you’ll have to do the newborn photos.” And I said, “and I have to do your maternity photos, you are so freaking cute!” But Heather was not so sure. Lovely readers I know the feeling. I did not want maternity photos. Well, it’s not that I didn’t want them, I just didn’t think they were that important. I was so wrong, I really regret not getting maternity (or newborn) pictures taken! So I’m glad I finally talked Heather into it (I think it was a girlfriend who finally told her she was crazy not to get them taken). Heather and her husband came in today to check out their maternity session (along with the newborn one since baby came before we could get together). I realize I’m behind on posting session photos anyway so with out further ado…

When I pulled up I told Heather, “well we have to use that bench” that was sitting on their front porch. Her response, “I knew you’d say that.”

Heather told me that her cute dog was totally photogenic. I was thinking, sure everyone loves their pet. But she was right he stared right at me. I had to throw this in, but if you really want a pet photographer call my friend Paula.

Both her fur babies, including her little blind Bert. Such sweet dogs.

After shooting around their house and yard we decided to risk it and head downtown between showers. We totally lucked out at the capital mall where cherry trees were in bloom, and got a break with rays of sun.

They had wedding photos taken here. I think this will be a nice before and after.

And then it started raining again. Next up the baby in that belly. Want to hazard a guess if it’s a girl or a boy? It was a surprise to them as well.
