When things are crazy and loud and cold at my house, sometimes it's just the ticket. Taken with my iPhone yesterday. I know Bj, dangerous! But I didn't drop it. 🙂 Baby loves this. It moves around like a little nutball in there when I'm soaking. I just sit there and watch it and think …

I couldn’t live like that.
So yesterday we had our windows dropped off by a friend (who sells windows, convenient, no?). I was showing him around and I said, "I just can't wait until everything is clean." And he said something like, "Ya, I couldn't live like this." That's when I realized that it really is crazy. I'm freaking pregnant! …
I don’t know about you, but crafting always makes me feel better.
So ya, that totally sucked. I'm still not over it (the tree cutting thing). Today I peaked out my bathroom window to see what my neighbor was doing and he was sitting in his driveway on a lawn chair facing our house. Creepy. Ugh. I talked to the neighbors on the corner about the flood …

I weep for them
Two days ago I came back from a walk around my neighborhood to teenagers in my yard with chainsaws. This is never a sight one wants to see, especially when they have ropes dangling from the tops of arborvitae separating you and a neighbor (and the view of the intersection). I was upset, though the …
The easiest baby hat ever!
It worked! This is seriously from a rectangle of knitting, NO DECREASES, NO DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES. I may know people afraid of these things (and they shouldn't be), this resolves all their hat fears. You do have to seam up the back: But I doubt many would notice it much. Especially because the sides are …
The big bad baby post
Typepad’s spell check is over working again (all words show up as spelled wrong) is this happening to anyone else? So I’ve got this thing in my belly. Three pounds of baby that likes to smash its self against my side and make me wonder where food is going to fit in a month or …
Thank you so much!
Spell check not working (actually over working, every word, EVERY ONE came up as mis-spelled), so read at your own risk. 🙂 First of all a huge thank you to everyone that has sent well wishes our way in the last week (and month really). We have loved reading them, and have felt overwhelmed by …
1920-2008
William Henry Garrison III passed away early this morning. He was at peace and not in any pain, for which we are so grateful. He is survived by his grandson and namesake who he loved more than anything, and Bj’s wife and future great grandchild who he lovingly called "Matilda". Grandpa was a great record …
Hospice
Bj and I moved grandpa back to his home yesterday for hospice care. He only has a short time left to be with us and I know he likes being there better. It’s still very sad and we will be spending almost all our time there with him.
The other BIG thing
Oh ya, about that. This is what our attic looked like about a week ago. We started demo with out our permit (not illegal or anything, just risky because you can’t actually build until you get the permit). Guess what? Our permit had hold ups, we had to get new drawings (which was terrible because …
