Bennie’s Blanket

Even though we woke her up in the middle of the night to come help at Bennet’s birth Sciarrino managed to grab the birthday present she’d made for the baby. She made up this sweet wonky stars quilt with some cottons we’d got at quilt guild and shirting. The shirting has a really great subtle texture that I love. Bennet seems to really love the quilt too. Don’t babies make the best faces? I forgot how awesome it is when they think your big black camera is the best thing to look at.

I may not be as organized and prepared scrapbook wise as I was before Tuesday was born (I had a whole fill in the blank scrapbook ready to go), but I’m determined not to forget all the little moments happening now. I’m also determined to use some of my supplies. I’m trying hard not to fall into the trap I got into with Tuesday: middle of the night craft supply buying via my iPhone. The next big (little) thing

We’re building a garden shed! I’m so excited. That was always the plan for this space: And we’re finally doing it. I think I’ve mentioned that our garage is so small a mini cooper couldn’t fit in there. We have all manor of things in there, like strollers, bike trailers, tools, etc. This way Bj can have a proper little shop out there and all our yard things can be stored here. I’m going to have a potting area on one side, and behind a little hatch thing for the kids to pull toys out of.…
