Actually when I first started scrapbooking I didn’t scraplift (copy the design or elements of an existing layout) at all. I just did whatever. Now that I have my own loose style I find it easier to look at other people’s work for inspiration and not loose my style in theirs. I pulled out my old Ali book A Designer’s Eye for Scrapbooking with Patterned Paper and picked out a couple of layouts to lift to get myself into the groove the other day. -what a day around here. I had a very upset toddler who was not telling me why she was upset. This is rare, I usually get a lot of signing on her wants/needs. -Finally in the evening we had the double combo of grandma coming over and getting her to eat (exactly what I had been trying to feed her, but better because grandma was doing it, of course) and some major poops. We had a great weekend. Saturday we picked up Sarah and headed to the coast. Tuesday spots the big water (her sign for water is a finger by her mouth… she can’t quite make the “w” sign). For some reason the water was quite nasty, lots of foam, so she wasn’t able to play in it. But she sure had a blast in the warm sand. She was covered in sand, but since it was dry it was pretty easy to clean up. A great weekend.
