Last year two of the Jo-Ann’s in town closed so they could make one mega Jo-Ann’s. For some reason when they open a new store they don’t use any inventory from old stores, so everything was on sale. Oh man, I’m addicted to these sweet skirts! I want to make one for myself, but Sciarrino told me she was a bit unsure about that; maybe with more mellow fabrics. Until then I’ll work through every little girl I know, starting with the birthday girls for this month. For a two year old and six year old. I have a ton of great inspiration up on my Kid’s Clothes pinterest board, but this weekend it looked like the banner day skirt would be the most fun to make. And my scrap bin was over flowing so I went for it. The added bonus was getting to use my new 60 degree triangle template from my friend Jill. She makes the best templates ever (etsy shop here)!
